LARGE OBJECTS PRINTING

The AP-350 series of precision automatic UV screen printing machines designed for printing onto large
pails, 25 litre buckets and 2 litre sized plastic bottles. The AP-350 automatic UV screen printing press can
also screen print on beer pony kegs, stainless-steel thermos bottles, jars & containers. The AP-350 feature
a DC motor controlled linear walking beam system that is solidly built to provide accurate color to color print
registration with print speeds up to 22 pieces per minute. Once bucket enter the AP-350 machinery they are
automatically flame treated and fed through each of the subsequent printing and UV curing stations.

HIGH QUALITY PRINTING

The accurate color to color registration of the AP-350 series is ensured by use of a precision mechanical
cam driven indexing drive system and mechanical control of the screen printing stations. When buckets are
placed into precision machined fixtures and they are direct driven and precisely rotated during printing. There
is also a “no-part no-print” sensor which prevents the squeegee from operating if no bucket is present in the
printing station. After the bottles leave the printing station, they are handed-off to the UV drying station where
they are rotated under the UV lamps.

FAST SET-UP TIMES

The Omron PLC and touch screen controller gives the operator complete control over all necessary machine
functions and the jobs parameters can be easily adjusted. All mechanical adjustments are easily accessible
for the set-up technician and when bucket sizes change you only need to:
1) Change out the print gear in each print station;
2) Adjust the walking beam length;
3) Change the chucks in each station (when necessary);
4) Change or adjust the vacuum pick and place device;
5) Adjust the flame treater height;
6) Adjust the off-contact screen height.
